Jana nayagan Enters Top 5 Opening Day Grossers

More than half of 2026 has passed, and several films have delivered massive opening day collections at the box office. Interestingly, three Telugu films have secured places among the top five highest opening day grossers of the year. Until recently, Chiranjeevi’s Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu held the fourth position with an opening day collection of ₹74.25 crore.

However, Vijay’s Jana nayagan has now overtaken it by collecting ₹81.05 crore on its first day, moving into fourth place and pushing Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu to fifth. Durandhar: The Revenge continues to lead the list with ₹204 crore, followed by Peddi (₹117.20 crore) and The Raja Saab (₹101.80 crore). Despite huge expectations, Jana nayagan finished fourth among the biggest South Indian opening day grossers of the year.
