The censor controversy surrounding Tamil actor and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay’s upcoming film ‘Jana Nayagan’ has finally come to an end. After the film was earlier granted an ‘A’ certificate, the makers implemented the changes and revisions suggested by the CBFC and approached the board for re-censorship. The film has now received a fresh certificate, bringing relief to the team after months of uncertainty.
Following the latest modifications, an additional 41 seconds has been added to the film, taking its total runtime to 3 hours 3 minutes 52 seconds. The certification process, which faced delays due to objections over political scenes and key sequences, moved through legal proceedings and revising committees before receiving final clearance. Meanwhile, reports of some parts of the film being leaked online have raised concerns among the producers. Directed by H. Vinoth and featuring music by Anirudh Ravichander, the film is produced by KVN Productions and is scheduled for a worldwide release on July 24.
