Megastar Chiranjeevi and Trisha’s upcoming fantasy action film ‘Vishwambhara’, directed by Vassishta, may face another delay in its release. The film has been awaiting release for a long time, with extensive visual effects work reportedly emerging as a major reason for the delay. Although there has been speculation about bringing the film to theatres during the Dasara season, industry discussions now suggest that the possibility is becoming increasingly unlikely. Meanwhile, Vijay Deverakonda’s highly anticipated film ‘Ranabali’ has also entered the Dasara race, adding further interest to the release schedule.
There is also speculation that the announcement of ‘Ranabali’ may have come after clarity emerged that ‘Vishwambhara’ would not be arriving during Dasara. This could mean that Chiranjeevi’s film will avoid a direct clash with Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailer 2’ as well. The film is now reportedly being considered for a December release. Since ‘Vishwambhara’ involves extensive visual effects and computer-generated imagery, the makers appear determined not to compromise on quality and want to complete the technical work before finalising the release.
