Director Harish Shankar has clarified that there will be no special item song in ‘Ustaad Bhagat Singh’, which stars Power Star Pawan Kalyan in the lead role. It is well known that the song ‘Kevvu Keka’ from their earlier blockbuster ‘Gabbar Singh’ created a huge sensation among audiences. However, Harish Shankar explained that this time the team decided against including such a number considering the present circumstances.
He stated that since Pawan Kalyan is currently serving as the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and handling key responsibilities, the decision was taken to maintain the dignity associated with his position. According to the director, it would not be appropriate for a Deputy Chief Minister to appear in an item song, and therefore such a mass number was intentionally avoided.
The big-budget film, produced by Mythri Movie Makers, is scheduled for a grand release on March 19. Sreeleela and Raashi Khanna are playing the female leads. The music for the film is composed by Devi Sri Prasad, while Thaman is providing the background score. The songs released so far have already received a positive response from the audience and the film team is preparing to release the third single soon. The movie is being designed as a complete commercial entertainer that suits Pawan Kalyan’s image.
