Double Glory for Naga Chaitanya’s ‘Thandel’ at Gaddar Awards 2025

The sensational blockbuster Thandel, starring Young Star Naga Chaitanya and directed by Chandoo Mondeti, received special recognition at the Gaddar Awards 2025. Naga Chaitanya was honored with the Best Actor Award for his intense, emotional and realistic performance. Additionally, Thandel, which became Naga Chaitanya’s biggest commercial hit, was also awarded Best National Integration Film.

This rare double recognition highlights both Naga Chaitanya’s exceptional acting skills and the film’s meaningful social and cultural message. Known for choosing diverse roles, Naga Chaitanya impressed audiences with the depth, authenticity and realism he brought to his character in Thandel.

Produced by Bunny Vasu under Geetha Arts and presented by Allu Aravind, this marks the first state award for Naga Chaitanya. Despite tough competition, his performance in Thandell stood out. The film’s recognition as Best National Integration Film underscores its message beyond regional boundaries, exploring themes of unity, humanity and cultural harmony. Introduced by the Telangana government as a new platform replacing the long-running Nandi Awards, the Gaddar Awards aim to honor excellence across various categories. Thandell’s double honor, following Allu Arjun’s win for Pushpa 2 last year, adds even more significance to this achievement.
