Director Ajay Bhupathi, known for his distinct filmmaking style in RX 100 and Mangalavaaram, returned with Srinivasa Mangapuram, introducing Ghatamaneni family member Jaikrishna as a hero. The film generated decent expectations before release, but its promotional content failed to create the desired impact. After the release, many viewers felt that the director's signature style was not fully reflected in the film.
Following the success of Mangalavaaram, audiences expected another intense and engaging narrative from Ajay Bhupathi. Although debutant Jaikrishna delivered a sincere performance, film critics believe the screenplay, emotional depth, and storytelling lacked the intensity associated with the director. As a result, Srinivasa Mangapuram is being viewed as an average outing despite the initial expectations.
