

The re-release of Darling has taken the box office by storm, proving once again the enduring popularity of Prabhas. The romantic comedy, originally released in 2010, returned to theatres in a restored 4K version on April 23, 2026, marking 16 years since its initial release. Within just three days, the film grossed an impressive ₹10.44 crore worldwide, surprising trade analysts. On its opening day alone, it collected around ₹7.59 crore globally, registering the second-highest opening ever for a Telugu re-release.
Directed by A. Karunakaran and starring Kajal Aggarwal alongside Prabhas, the film continues to charm audiences across generations. Produced by B. V. S. N. Prasad under Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra and featuring music by G. V. Prakash Kumar, the film’s re-release has seen overwhelming response both in India and overseas. Fans celebrated with massive cutouts, fireworks, and packed theatres, clearly showcasing that the “Darling” craze remains as strong as ever.
