Acclaimed filmmakers Shankar and AR Murugadoss are reportedly rethinking their approach to future projects following the underwhelming performance of some of their recent films. Industry sources suggest that both directors are now focusing on small to mid-budget films driven by strong storytelling rather than immediately pursuing large-scale productions.
With audience preferences evolving rapidly, the filmmakers are believed to be prioritizing content-oriented projects to regain momentum before moving on to ambitious ventures. Reports indicate that Shankar plans to complete a commercial entertainer before taking up his dream project, Velpari, while AR Murugadoss is also said to be exploring a smaller-scale film ahead of his next major production.
