Tollywood is currently buzzing with discussions about the release date of Peddi, the much-awaited pan-India film starring Mega Power Star Ram Charan. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana after the blockbuster Uppena, the film stars Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead and is produced by Satish Kilaru under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner. The posters, first shot and especially the song Chikiri Chikiri received strong responses on social media, increasing expectations around the film.
The makers initially announced March 27 as the release date for Peddi. However, reports suggest a possible delay due to pending shoot schedules, limited time for post-production and ticket price regulations. Key scenes, an item song and large-scale pan-India promotions are still left, making it difficult to meet the planned date. As a result, there is talk that the makers may consider a May or June release. At the same time, director Buchi Babu is keen on releasing the film in March as a birthday gift to Ram Charan, which has kept the situation interesting.
Meanwhile, industry buzz suggests that if Peddi gets postponed, Ustaad Bhagat Singh, starring Power Star Pawan Kalyan, could take the same release slot. Directed by Harish Shankar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film has completed shooting and is currently in post-production. Following the success of OG, strong expectations, the popular Gabbar Singh combination and a positive response to the first single have worked in its favor. However, as of now, this remains unofficial and clarity is expected once the makers make formal announcements.
