Varanasi, one of the most awaited films worldwide, has once again become the centre of attention. Starring Mahesh Babu and directed by S.S. Rajamouli, the film is reportedly eyeing a release on April 7 next year, according to growing speculation. The buzz intensified after large hoardings displaying only the release date appeared in Varanasi, with no additional details mentioned. Industry sources suggest that these hoardings are linked to the film, triggering excitement among fans and movie circles.
Reports indicate that the makers are considering the date to coincide with Ugadi in Telugu states and Gudi Padwa in North India, aiming for a pan-India festive launch. An official confirmation is expected soon. The film is said to be based on mythology and time travel, featuring Priyanka Chopra as the female lead opposite Mahesh Babu. The project is jointly produced by K.L. Narayana and S.S. Karthikeya, with Prithviraj Sukumaran playing the antagonist. Legendary composer M.M. Keeravani is providing the music for this high-budget global spectacle.
