A woman accused of running a large-scale cannabis distribution network in Hyderabad has once again escaped arrest despite a major operation by Telangana Eagle teams. Authorities said the accused allegedly targeted software professionals in the IT corridor and earned substantial amounts through illegal drug sales. During a surprise raid at her residence in Nanakramguda, officials detained 47 individuals who had reportedly arrived to purchase cannabis and seized ₹2.60 lakh in cash.
The accused, Kalapathi Neethubai (48), is a resident of Dhoolpet and has been linked to multiple narcotics cases since 2017. Police records show that she was arrested in 2023 and 2024, with large amounts of cash and assets allegedly acquired through drug trafficking. After being released, she reportedly continued operating the network while remaining underground. Although she managed to flee before the latest raid, authorities are questioning the detained individuals and intensifying efforts to apprehend her.
