TTD Proposes Special Gold Coin to Celebrate Tirumala Laddu Heritage

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has proposed the release of a commemorative gold coin dedicated to the sacred Tirumala Laddu, a prasadam that symbolizes the blessings of Lord Venkateswara for millions of devotees worldwide. The proposal has been submitted to the Andhra Pradesh government, and upon receiving approval, the coin is expected to be unveiled during the upcoming Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavams.

TTD officials noted that the Tirumala Laddu has a rich legacy spanning over three centuries. Having received the Geographical Indication (GI) tag in 2009, the Laddu enjoys legal protection and global recognition. Through this commemorative gold coin, TTD aims to preserve the spiritual and historical significance of the iconic prasadam while promoting the cultural heritage of Tirumala for future generations.
