US President Donald Trump has reversed his decision within a day regarding the imposition of toll charges in the Strait of Hormuz. Instead of levying a 20% fee on cargo value for providing naval protection, Trump announced that West Asian nations would enter into trade agreements with the United States and increase investments in the country. He shared this update on social media following discussions with regional leaders, signaling a shift in strategy after his earlier controversial announcement.
Meanwhile, tensions in West Asia continue to intensify, raising fears of a broader conflict. The United States carried out fresh airstrikes on Iran, targeting coastal defense systems and missile and drone facilities. In retaliation, Iran launched attacks on US-allied nations including Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan. The Jordanian military confirmed that it intercepted four incoming missiles, highlighting the escalating military confrontation in the region.
