

Telangana Agriculture, Marketing and Cooperation Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao has directed officials to accelerate the complete digitisation of the state's agricultural marketing system. During a review meeting, he discussed the department's performance, development works, digital transformation, cotton procurement preparedness, engineering projects, solar power installations in market yards, and inspection mechanisms.
The minister instructed officials to automate all 206 Market Committees and complete the planning and tender process by the end of August, with implementation beginning in September. He directed that CCTV cameras, electronic weighing systems, and gate entry-exit facilities be integrated into a single digital platform. He also proposed introducing vehicle number plate scanning in market yards and making all procurement processes fully digital to improve transparency and efficiency.
