Another gas leak has triggered concern in Andhra Pradesh’s Konaseema district. Local residents noticed gas leaking from a pipeline in agricultural fields at Machavaram village in Ambajipeta mandal. After receiving information about the incident, officials from the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) alerted their teams and rushed to the spot. Fire department personnel also arrived at the location immediately. ONGC officials have initiated measures to control the leakage and prevent the situation from worsening.
The incident has caused anxiety among residents, as a gas leak was reported in the same area on the 26th of this month. The recurrence of the problem at the same location has raised concerns about the safety of people living nearby. Residents have urged the authorities to bring the current leak under control as quickly as possible and take steps to prevent similar incidents in the future. They have also called for a permanent solution to ensure that repeated pipeline leaks do not put local communities at risk.
