The Supreme Court has issued key directions in the case related to alleged thefts and donation misappropriation at the Ayodhya Ram Temple. To ensure a transparent and comprehensive investigation, the court directed that a forensic auditor must be included in the Special Investigation Team (SIT). It also instructed the SIT to submit a status report on the progress of the investigation within two weeks.
The Uttar Pradesh Government informed the court that an SIT headed by IG Kiran has been constituted to investigate the case. The Bench emphasised that the probe must be conducted swiftly and impartially. Although the petitioner's counsel requested that details of temple donations be made public through the official website, the court declined to issue any such direction at this stage, stating that its immediate focus is on completing the investigation. Further action will be decided after examining the SIT's report.
