Students of Osmania University have expressed serious dissatisfaction over the evaluation process following the recent release of LLB semester examination results. According to students, nearly 1,500 students were initially declared failed. The issue gained attention as several students who had consistently scored good marks in previous semesters were also among those who failed.
Suspecting errors in the evaluation process, many students applied for revaluation by paying a fee of ₹700 per paper. Reports suggest that nearly 1,000 students who opted for revaluation later passed the examination. More significantly, eight students who were initially declared failed secured First Grade marks after revaluation, raising questions about the accuracy and reliability of the original assessment process.
Student organizations have demanded an independent inquiry into the matter. They questioned how students who were initially marked as failed could later secure high scores. Concerns have also been raised over delays in result announcements, with February exam results released only in April and Journalism semester results still pending. Students have urged the university to review the evaluation system thoroughly and take action if any lapses are found.
