India’s Dominance in the Junior Asia Cup!

Defending champions India produced a dominant performance in the women’s Junior Asia Cup hockey semi-final, defeating Korea 5-1 in Mokki, China, to secure their place in the final. Drag-flick specialist Supriya was the star of the match, scoring three goals in the 17th, 33rd and 56th minutes. Madhu Sidar and Sukhveer Kaur also found the net in the 13th and 21st minutes respectively, while Yuri Jiang scored Korea’s only goal in the 41st minute.

India will face China in the women’s final on Sunday after China defeated Japan 6-0 in the other semi-final. The Indian men’s team has also already booked a place in the Junior Asia Cup final. The defending champions will meet Korea in the men’s title clash, also scheduled for Sunday, giving India a chance to compete for both the men’s and women’s titles.
