The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has submitted a report to the Andhra Pradesh High Court highlighting alleged irregularities in the evaluation of Group-1 examinations. The SIT found that Group-1 Mains answer scripts were evaluated three times. It also stated that Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) rules do not permit re-evaluation and allow only recounting. The team also raised concerns over the manual evaluation conducted in Vijayawada.
The SIT found that 21 OMR valuation slips contained corrections without the signatures of the concerned examiners, while some signatures did not match the original signatures of the examiners. The report also stated that the list of 57 examiners had allegedly been leaked before the evaluation. Changes in handwriting and signatures of chief examiners were also noticed on some OMR slips. The Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) reportedly confirmed that the chief examiner had made alterations to two documents.
