Sridhar Babu Hits Back at KTR Over Hyderabad Land Allocations

A war of words has intensified between the ruling party and the opposition over land allocations in Hyderabad. Telangana Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu responded to allegations raised by BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao, saying the previous BRS government had allotted land at ₹90 lakh per acre, while the present government had followed the prescribed rules and allotted land at ₹1.5 crore per acre. He said five acres were allotted for ₹7.5 crore and questioned the basis of KTR’s claim that the land was worth ₹200 crore.

Sridhar Babu accused KTR of misleading the public through what he described as false claims and urged him not to create confusion over the issue. He said the government’s HILT policy would benefit Hyderabad and argued that creating fear among industrialists would harm Telangana’s development. The minister also reiterated that the state would not compromise on its interests over water sharing. He said he would attend the GRMB meeting and strongly present Telangana’s case for its rightful share of water.
