With private schools reopening from today, officials of the Ranga Reddy District Transport Department launched a special inspection drive targeting school buses transporting students. During the checks, transport authorities thoroughly examined vehicle safety standards, fitness conditions, and legal compliance. Six school buses were seized for violating transport regulations.
Officials verified Registration Certificates (RC), permits, insurance documents, fitness certificates, pollution certificates, and drivers' licenses. Special emphasis was placed on student safety by inspecting the availability of fire extinguishers, first-aid medical kits, student lists, and other mandatory safety measures. The department also conducted a focused drive to identify buses being operated by drivers above 60 years of age.
