Rain Alert for AP & Telangana

The India Meteorological Department has forecast rainfall across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for the next three days due to the impact of a surface trough. Light to moderate showers are expected in several regions, along with thunderstorms and lightning activity, providing much-needed relief from the intense summer heat.

According to officials, the trough currently extends from south interior Karnataka through Tamil Nadu up to the Gulf of Mannar at an altitude of around 0.9 km above sea level. Weather experts have advised people to remain cautious during thunderstorms as changing weather conditions are likely to prevail across the Telugu states.
