

Prince Rahim Aga Khan V, the 50th Imam of the Ismaili Muslims, on Thursday met President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He arrived in India on September 9 at the invitation of the Vice President, and his visit will continue until September 15. During his meeting with President Murmu, the President appreciated the philanthropic initiatives undertaken by the Aga Khan Development Network.
During his meeting with Prime Minister Modi, discussions focused on opportunities to work with the Aga Khan Development Network in areas including healthcare, agriculture, rural development, youth and women’s empowerment. As part of his India visit, Prince Rahim Aga Khan will travel to Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Hyderabad. This is his first visit to India since assuming the position of the 50th Imam of the Ismaili Muslims.
