Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday highlighted the achievements of the NDA government as it completed 12 years in office. Addressing an NDA meeting in New Delhi, Modi said political stability had played a key role in accelerating India's growth and development. He criticized the term "Hindu Rate of Growth," arguing that the slow economic growth of earlier decades was wrongly attributed to the Hindu community and should instead be viewed in the context of policies pursued during the Congress era. He stated that the NDA government had worked to free the country from what he described as the negative legacy of policy paralysis and slow governance.
The Prime Minister emphasized that India had made significant progress over the past decade, citing poverty reduction, infrastructure expansion, welfare reforms, and economic growth. He called for healthy competition among states to become trillion-dollar economies, innovation hubs, and employment generators. Modi also outlined future goals, including strengthening green energy, expanding nuclear power, boosting manufacturing, and preparing for major global events such as the Olympics. He thanked the people of India for their continued trust and support, while NDA leaders and Union Cabinet members congratulated him on becoming one of the longest-serving elected Prime Ministers in the country's history.
