Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has praised Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, describing him as one of Israel’s greatest friends and calling India one of the country's most important strategic partners. Speaking about Israel’s global partnerships amid changing geopolitical conditions, Netanyahu said that while some critics portray Israel as isolated, the country continues to enjoy strong support from India. He added that Israel is committed to further strengthening its relationship with New Delhi across multiple sectors.
India and Israel have significantly expanded their bilateral ties in recent years, particularly in defence, technology, trade, and strategic cooperation. During Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Israel earlier this year, both countries signed several agreements covering artificial intelligence, critical minerals, defence, trade, labour, and healthcare. These initiatives are expected to further deepen the long-standing partnership between the two nations and enhance cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
