Meerut Stirred - Two Suspects Seriously Injured in Police Firing

A gunfight broke out between police and alleged cattle smugglers in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. According to the police, they received information on Sunday about cattle being illegally transported and an alleged cow slaughter operation in the area. When the police reached the spot, they found a cow tied to a tree. The suspects, identified as Tasleem and Bhoora, allegedly opened fire at the police.

The police returned fire in self-defence, seriously injuring both suspects. They were taken to a hospital for treatment. Another alleged smuggler reportedly fled the scene and a search operation is underway to trace him. Police said Tasleem has 15 cases registered against him, while Bhoora has 10 cases.
