Lalithaa Jewellery Mart delivered a strong performance on its stock-market debut. The company’s shares were listed at ₹265.30 on the BSE, marking a 31.99% premium over the IPO issue price of ₹201. On the NSE, the stock opened at ₹265, representing a 31.84% premium. The strong listing reflected the robust investor response to the public issue.
The ₹1,700-crore IPO was open for subscription from August 17 to 19 and received bids equivalent to 62.97 times the shares on offer. The issue comprised a ₹1,200-crore fresh issue and a ₹500-crore offer for sale. Lalithaa Jewellery Mart, established in 1985, primarily serves the South Indian jewellery market and operates stores across Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Puducherry.
