BJP MP Eatala Rajender has demanded that Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy resign if the government is unable to curb land encroachments. He said the Kukatpally Housing Board was established to provide housing plots to the poor and not for commercial activities. Rajender demanded the cancellation of the auction scheduled for September 2 and warned that continued sale of public assets would have consequences.
Rajender also questioned why the government had not taken back the land allegedly allotted to Honor Homes during the previous KCR government, despite Revanth Reddy earlier stating that such land would be reclaimed. He alleged that the government was targeting revenue of around Rs 10 lakh crore through Section 22A, with a 30 percent share involved. He warned that those troubling the poor would face consequences.
