India's first hydrogen powered train is ready for launch, marking a major milestone in the country's green transportation journey. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to inaugurate the train on July 17. Haryana has been selected for the pilot project, which aims to promote clean and sustainable rail transport.
The train operates using hydrogen fuel cell technology, emitting only water vapour instead of harmful pollutants. It has a seating capacity of 682 passengers and can accommodate up to 2,600 people in total. The project is another significant step towards achieving India's Net Zero carbon emission goals.
