Ravi Teja Celebrates ‘Irumudi’ Success

Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja is enjoying a strong comeback with Irumudi, directed by Shiva Nirvana. The film has received a positive response from audiences, with the father-daughter bond between Ravi Teja and child artist Baby Nakshatra becoming one of the major talking points. At the blockbuster success meet held in Anakapalle, Ravi Teja delivered an emotional and energetic speech, praising the entire cast and crew.

Ravi Teja began by appreciating the performances of Bhargav, Kishore and Komaran. He said making Komaran perform such a character reflected Shiva Nirvana’s confidence and conviction. He also praised the actors who portrayed the Ganja Batch, noting that their real-life personalities were completely different from their characters.

He appreciated Ramesh Indra and Swasika, joking that Swasika’s extensive physical work in the film had effectively given her enough squats for a long time. He congratulated Ajay Ghosh, whom he described as a terrific actor and someone he personally likes. He also praised Pranitha and Sam, adding that Sam has a promising future and wishing the actor the best.

Ravi Teja praised art director Suresh, calling his work extraordinary, and also mentioned his admiration for Sai Suresh and Nagendra. He said he believes this was his third film with Suresh and jokingly referred to his tendency to forget things.

He appreciated cinematographer Vishnu for his positive energy and speed, saying a good friendship between a director and cinematographer helps a film. He also thanked Dinesh for taking good care of him in Seeluru and praised Anantha Sriram for his remarks at the event.

Ravi Teja on Choreography and Action

Ravi Teja appreciated the work of the three choreographers involved in the film. He specifically mentioned Shekar for the Pallaki song and Shiva for the Yalolē song, noting that Shiva’s involvement in choreography reminded him of the approach followed by filmmakers such as K. Raghavendra Rao and Krishna Vamsi.

He also praised action choreographers Ram-Lakshman, with whom he said he had worked on nearly 80 per cent of his films. He appreciated their work on the climax and chase sequences and encouraged Satish to maintain his energy and fitness.

Ravi Teja described music director G.V. Prakash Kumar as the soul of Irumudi. He praised the background score, saying even watching reels featuring the film’s music creates an emotional impact. Ravi Teja recalled how the music moved his family member Moksha on the film’s release day and congratulated G.V. Prakash Kumar for his excellent work.

Ravi Teja congratulated producers Naveen and Ravi, whom he described as good friends. He recalled Naveen calling him early in the morning to share his happiness and said the success celebrations felt special.

Speaking about director Shiva Nirvana, Ravi Teja said he had been watching Malayalam and Tamil films during the pandemic and wanted to see more rooted stories being made in Telugu cinema. He revealed that when Shiva first showed him the film in the editing room, he was deeply moved despite considering himself someone who rarely cries.

Ravi Teja said Shiva’s storytelling, the characterisation of Trinath and his conviction impressed him greatly. He also praised Priya for her work in the second half and said the scenes would not have worked as effectively without her performance. He specially praised child artist Nakshatra, saying she has a bright future.

Director Shiva Nirvana revealed an emotional detail about Baby Nakshatra during the success celebrations. He said Nakshatra’s father passed away when she was very young and that her mother raised her with great difficulty and responsibility.

Shiva said that while writing the film, he wanted the girl playing Ravi Teja’s daughter to resemble him in facial features, eyes and energy. He came across one of Nakshatra’s Instagram reels and immediately felt that she looked like Ravi Teja’s daughter, leading him to select her for the role.

Shiva said Nakshatra’s courage and strong-hearted nature impressed him throughout the shoot. He revealed that the real-life circumstances of the young actor made her performance even more meaningful.

He added that while working with Ravi Teja on the sets, Nakshatra received affection and care from him in a fatherly manner. Ravi Teja reportedly treated her like his own daughter, which helped create the natural and emotional father-daughter bond seen on screen.
