India has strongly opposed Pakistan’s recent political developments in Gilgit-Baltistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), stating that such actions cannot hide human rights violations and suppression in the region. India reiterated that these territories are illegally occupied and must be vacated.
Meanwhile, Pakistani authorities have announced that elections for 53 seats in the PoK Assembly will be held on July 27. India has reiterated its objection, calling the entire region an integral part of India and condemning the ongoing administrative actions.
