High Court Seeks Review of The Paradise Ticket Hike

The Telangana High Court has asked the state government to reconsider and examine the withdrawal of the memo permitting a hike in ticket prices for actor Nani’s upcoming film The Paradise. Justice N. V. Shravan Kumar was hearing a contempt petition challenging the government’s September 20 memo. The court observed that the memo appeared to be contrary to the law and earlier court orders, while directing the respondents to file their counters.

Meanwhile, Nani has requested Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and police officials to allow him to watch The Paradise premiere with audiences at a theatre on Hyderabad’s RTC X Roads. Nani said he would follow all government guidelines and safety protocols during the visit.
