Greater Noida Bus Fire: 9 Killed as Sleeper Bus Catches Fire on Yamuna Expressway

A tragic bus fire was reported on the Yamuna Expressway near Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh early Thursday morning. A sleeper tourist bus travelling towards Mahoba caught fire near the Jewar area, with reports stating that more than 30 passengers were onboard. The flames spread rapidly through the bus, leaving several passengers injured and at least nine people dead. Some passengers reportedly jumped from the bus or escaped through the windows to save themselves.

Firefighters, police and emergency teams rushed to the spot and launched rescue operations. The exact cause of the fire is yet to be established, and authorities are investigating the incident. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed concern over the tragedy and directed officials to ensure immediate medical treatment for the injured.
