The Telangana government has approved key infrastructure proposals under the H-City Project to ease Hyderabad's growing traffic congestion. Administrative clearance has been granted for the construction of new flyovers and an underpass at the NFCL Junction and TV9 Junction in Banjara Hills, aiming to provide smoother and signal free travel.
The project will be executed at an estimated cost of ₹368 crore. A two lane one way steel flyover will be built from Road No. 3 to GVK Mall at the NFCL Junction for ₹147 crore. At the TV9 Junction, a three lane one way steel flyover towards NFCL Junction and a two lane one way underpass towards Srinagar Colony will be constructed for ₹221 crore. The government has opted for steel structures instead of conventional concrete flyovers to speed up construction and improve traffic flow.
