Maize prices have reached a new high at the Warangal (Enumamula) Agricultural Market. On Thursday, the crop fetched ₹3,255 per quintal, setting a fresh record at the market. The latest rise has brought relief to maize farmers who are benefiting from the improved market price.
Udugula Nagababu, a farmer from Peddamupparam village in Dantalapalli mandal of Mahabubabad district, brought 66 bags of maize to the market for sale. Prem Enterprises purchased the produce at ₹3,255 per quintal through Vijay Traders' commission agent. Market observers attribute the higher price to reduced maize yields and increased demand.
