Frequent glitches in the Centre’s Transport Department Vahan–Sarathi portal cloud database

The Centre’s Transport Department Vahan–Sarathi portal cloud database is reportedly facing frequent technical glitches due to heavy load. After being brought under central control six months ago, the system has seen a massive rise in logins from all states, which is affecting its performance and stability.

The disruption has impacted over 100 online transport services across the country. In Telangana, driving and learner licence services were halted throughout the day, causing long queues at RTA offices including Khairatabad. Officials said services are likely to be restored from today morning.
