A special free mass Aksharabhyasam (initiation into learning) programme will be conducted today at the Indrakeeladri temple in Vijayawada. Temple authorities have made arrangements for 250 children to participate in the sacred ceremony, which marks the beginning of a child's educational journey. The event is being organized with the aim of promoting traditional values and encouraging education among young children.
Following the Aksharabhyasam ceremony, participating children and their parents will be provided free darshan through the ₹300 special queue line. Temple officials will also distribute a writing slate, chalk, Shakti Kankanam, a pocket-sized deity photograph, 100 grams of pulihora, sweet pongal, and a 40-gram free laddu as prasadam. Authorities have urged devotees to make use of this opportunity and seek the blessings of Goddess Durga.
