Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary G. Sai Prasad has been granted a six month extension by the Central Government. The decision was taken after reviewing the proposal submitted by the state government. His term has been extended from June 1, 2026, to November 30, 2026.
The extension has been approved under Rule 16(1) of the All India Services (Death-cum-Retirement Benefits) Rules, 1958. Officials stated that the decision was made considering administrative requirements in the state, ensuring continuity in key governance functions.
