Revanth Reddy announced that education will be the top priority of his government, with plans to allocate 15% of the state budget to the education sector in the coming years. Speaking at the Education Week celebrations held at LB Stadium, he described government schools as “temples of learning” that provide quality education to underprivileged children. He also laid the foundation for new school buildings worth ₹1,761 crore under the Core Urban Region initiative and urged teachers to treat teaching as a responsibility rather than a burden.
The Chief Minister highlighted ongoing reforms in the education sector and announced plans to establish government schools offering education from LKG to Intermediate within the Core Urban Region. He said students in these schools will receive breakfast, lunch, and nutritious supplements like ragi malt and milk. Stressing the importance of confidence among students, he encouraged them to aspire for top positions like IAS and IPS officers. He also noted that over 11,000 teachers have been recruited and that the state maintains a better teacher-student ratio than the national standard. Awards and cash incentives were presented to meritorious students, headmasters, and lecturers during the event.
