Demand for a No Fly Zone Over Tirumala Resurfaces

A helicopter was seen flying near the Tirumala temple area on Wednesday morning, raising concerns among devotees and temple authorities. The incident has once again brought attention to the long pending demand to declare Tirumala a no fly zone.

The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has repeatedly urged the Ministry of Civil Aviation to prohibit aircraft and helicopter movements over the temple, stating that such flights are against temple traditions and Agama principles. TTD had earlier written to Union Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu on the issue. The Civil Aviation Ministry is now expected to conduct a study and examine the feasibility of declaring Tirumala a no fly zone.
