Congress Finalises Guidelines for Nominated Posts

Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao and Rajya Sabha MP Vem Narender Reddy met Telangana PCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud at Gandhi Bhavan to discuss the appointment process for PACS directors, chairpersons, and various nominated posts at the constituency, district, and state levels. The leaders framed guidelines to ensure a transparent and coordinated selection process.

The meeting decided that district in-charge ministers should hold consultations with ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs, DCC presidents, senior leaders, and election candidates before preparing reports on aspirants. It was also decided that 60% of the nominated posts would be allotted to former mandal presidents, district executive members, affiliated organisation leaders, and senior constituency leaders. Adequate representation will be given to SCs, STs, BCs, minorities, and women. The final list will be approved jointly by the Chief Minister and the PCC President.
