CM Revanth Reddy Meets Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy met Union Minister for Agriculture and Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan and urged the Centre to allocate 11.56 lakh rural houses to Telangana under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) 2.0. The Chief Minister informed the Union Minister that rural housing construction had been neglected during the previous government’s tenure and requested the Centre's support to address the housing needs of eligible beneficiaries across the state.

During the meeting, Revanth Reddy also sought the inclusion of additional works under the Wage-Based Green Rural Asset Management (WB-GRAM) programme in view of the El Niño conditions. He proposed ten new livelihood-oriented activities, including vegetable cultivation sheds, fodder plots, mulberry plantations, and silkworm rearing sheds. The Chief Minister further requested support for land development, water conservation, restoration of disaster-affected farmland, and the inclusion of Indiramma housing works under the scheme to provide beneficiaries with up to 90 days of employment.
