

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed deep anguish over the death of medico Priyanka, who succumbed to injuries sustained in a car accident in Rajahmundry on August 3. Priyanka was initially treated in Rajahmundry and was later shifted to Hyderabad by her family for better medical care. Speaking during a Sunday teleconference with district officials, the Chief Minister said the loss of a young medical student with a promising future was deeply painful.
Officials informed the Chief Minister that the accused persons had already been arrested and were in jail. Chandrababu Naidu directed authorities to ensure that those responsible face strict punishment under appropriate sections of law for their alleged negligence. He also ordered officials to provide Rs 20 lakh in financial assistance to Priyanka’s family and assured them of continued government support.
