Chandrababu Unveils North Andhra Growth Vision

Addressing the public meeting after the inauguration of the Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport at Bhogapuram, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said the airport would become a defining landmark for North Andhra's future. He thanked the farmers who parted with their land for the project and said the airport would transform regional connectivity, investment and economic activity. He also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's support for key projects, including Visakhapatnam Railway Zone, Polavaram and Amaravati, while stating that the NDA government had fulfilled its promise of rebuilding Andhra Pradesh.

The Chief Minister outlined an ambitious roadmap for the region, saying North Andhra had attracted 189 projects worth ₹6.13 lakh crore that could generate employment for over 5.57 lakh people. He announced that eight major irrigation projects worth ₹2,784 crore would be completed within three years, confirmed that the long-pending Neradi Barrage had received clearance and said Godavari waters would soon reach Anakapalli through new connectivity works. He added that tourism, pharmaceuticals, rare earth minerals and modern infrastructure would make North Andhra a destination for investment and employment rather than migration.
