Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said Agriculture Minister K. Atchannaidu stood first in file clearance performance. He made the remarks during the second day of the district collectors’ conference at the Velagapudi Secretariat on Friday. Naidu said Transport Minister M. Ramprasad Reddy was at the bottom of the list, while ministers Ramprasad Reddy, Kollu Ravindra and Payyavula Keshav were taking more time to clear files. He also said Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha needed to improve her performance.
Chandrababu also reviewed the time taken by government secretaries, heads of departments and district collectors to clear files. He expressed dissatisfaction that while many secretaries were clearing files within two days, some heads of departments were taking three days. The Chief Minister directed Chief Secretary Sai Prasad to seek an explanation for the delay in clearing files. He urged ministers and officials to improve their performance and ensure faster implementation of government decisions.
