Serious confusion and concern have emerged in the CBSE Class 12 revaluation process following multiple technical glitches and alleged answer sheet mix-ups. Even two weeks after the declaration of results, students and parents continue to face difficulties due to issues linked to the newly introduced on-screen marking system. Out of nearly 17 lakh students who appeared for the examinations, more than 4.04 lakh students applied for scanned copies of around 11 lakh answer sheets, reflecting widespread dissatisfaction and anxiety among candidates.
Since the results were announced on May 13, the CBSE online portal has reportedly been facing repeated outages, forcing students to wait for hours to submit applications. Several scanned answer sheets were found to be blurred, while some students allegedly received answer sheets belonging to others. The controversy gained national attention after student Vedant Srivastava claimed on social media that the Physics answer sheet shared by the board was not his and contained another student’s responses. The issue escalated further after the CBSE itself reportedly acknowledged a mix-up involving Physics and Chemistry papers. The incident has triggered outrage across the country, with students and parents demanding greater transparency and accountability in the evaluation process.
