A BRS delegation met National Commission for Women Chairperson Vijaya Rahatkar in Delhi and apprised her of the incident involving the party’s women MLAs on the Assembly premises. MLAs Sabita Indra Reddy and Sunita Lakshma Reddy explained the circumstances surrounding the incident and raised concerns over the conduct of the police.
The BRS leaders alleged that the women MLAs were humiliated by the police and prevented from entering the Assembly. They complained that the state government and police had acted in a manner that obstructed their rights as legislators. The delegation urged the National Commission for Women to look into the matter and take appropriate action.
