

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy announced a major decision benefiting around 1.11 crore workers in Telangana by increasing minimum wages across all categories. The revised wages will come into effect from June 1. He extended greetings to workers on the occasion and said the decision aims to strengthen worker welfare and financial security.
Speaking at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat along with Labour Minister Gaddam Vivek Venkatswamy and other officials, the Chief Minister said workers have been classified into unskilled, semi-skilled, skilled, and highly skilled categories, and wages have been revised accordingly. The state has also reorganized wage zones into three categories based on urban and rural divisions. He added that the decision was taken after consultations with stakeholders and committee recommendations, marking a major step for labor welfare in the state.
