BRS Working President KTR stated that workers should exercise patience for a while, assuring them that KCR would return in the future to work for their welfare. Speaking at the May Day celebrations held in Hyderabad, he recalled how his government had taken great care of the workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. He also mentioned that free trains were arranged for migrant workers from other states.
KTR noted that during the lockdown, construction work on roads and bridges continued uninterrupted to ensure that development activities did not come to a halt. He acknowledged that these projects were completed solely with the cooperation of the workers and expressed his gratitude to them. He explained that their unwavering commitment to the development of Telangana was the reason they did not stop work, even during such difficult times.
KTR also leveled sharp criticism against the current state government, alleging that it is neglecting the issues faced by the workers. While calling upon the Central Government to reduce gas prices, he remarked that an anti-labor environment currently prevails in the state. Criticizing the government for its failure to respond to the suicides of auto-rickshaw drivers, he reiterated that if the workers exercise patience for just two years, the situation will change.
