A security alert unfolded near the Trump National Golf Club in Los Angeles ahead of US President Donald Trump's scheduled visit for a fundraising event. Police detained a man after he was allegedly seen acting suspiciously and taking photographs and videos around the venue during security preparations. A firearm and ammunition were reportedly recovered from his vehicle, prompting officers to arrest him immediately.
The suspect has been identified as 38-year-old Jeanine John Tayle from Downey. During a subsequent search of his residence, investigators reportedly recovered several firearms, magazines, and ammunition. Authorities are now investigating his motive and examining whether there was any broader security threat. The incident has drawn attention in light of previous assassination attempts targeting President Trump, though officials have not announced any confirmed link to such threats.
